Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and USBCHECK, a creative collective in Portland, Oregon, for using usbcheck.co and its member features. When you create an account you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the site. Questions: contact@usbcheck.co.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use usbcheck.co and to create an account. Many of our events are 21+: each event's age limit is set by the event and checked at the door, not by this site.
Your account
One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other people, or abuses the site.
Text messages (USBCHECK texts)
USBCHECK texts are recurring automated marketing texts from USBCHECK about drops and events, sent by our SMS provider, Twilio. You join them by entering your mobile number where this site shows the texts' terms and confirming it with a code; Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out; you may get one message confirming it. You can also switch off “Text me drops & events” on your account page, which stops them at once. Reply HELP for help, or write to contact@usbcheck.co. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our Privacy Policy says how we use your number.
Photos at our events
We photograph and film our events. By attending you understand you may appear in photos and video we publish on this site and on our social accounts. If you'd like a photo of you taken down, e-mail contact@usbcheck.co with the link and we'll remove it from the site.
Member galleries and downloads
Members can view and download photos from our galleries for personal use: keep them, and share them on your own social accounts with credit to USBCHECK. Don't sell them, use them commercially, edit them to misrepresent anyone, or use them to identify or bother the people in them. Photographers and USBCHECK keep their rights in the photos.
Tickets and merch
Tickets are sold by third parties (for example Posh, Eventbrite or Resident Advisor), not by usbcheck.co. Their terms apply to your purchase, and refunds and transfers are handled by them. Event details can change; the ticket seller's listing and the event's own announcements are the final word. When our merch goes on sale, the terms shown at checkout apply.
Our content
The site's words, photos, video, design and code belong to USBCHECK or to the artists and photographers who made them. Don't copy them for commercial use, scrape the site, or try to get around its member-only areas.
Other sites
We link to and embed other services (SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram, ticket sellers). We don't control them; their terms and policies apply when you use them.
Disclaimers
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that event information won't change.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, USBCHECK isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site, and our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to $100. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Multnomah County, Oregon, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for a significant change we'll say so on the site or by message. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
